ROOKIE ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL

TERMS & CONDITIONS (UNITED STATES – CALIFORNIA)

These Terms & Conditions apply to all camps, courses, training programmes, and related services operated in the United States by Rookie Academy International (“Rookie Academy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By making a booking, submitting payment, or participating in a programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 


 

1. CONTRACTING PARTY

1.1 All bookings for programmes operated in the United States are made with Rookie Academy International, a business registered in the United States. All programmes are delivered in the State of California.

 


 

2. BOOKINGS

2.1 A booking is confirmed only once we have received full payment and issued written confirmation.

2.2 The person making the booking confirms that they have authority to agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all participants included in the booking.

2.3 The person making the booking accepts full financial responsibility for all participants in the booking group.

 


 

3. PAYMENT

3.1 A non-refundable deposit of 6.5% is deducted from the full payment at the time of booking unless otherwise stated in writing.

3.2 The balance of fees must be paid by the due date specified in your booking confirmation if paying by bank deposit or invoice.

3.3 Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of any amounts already paid.

3.4 Prices are stated in United States Dollars unless otherwise specified.

3.5 Any bank fees, credit card charges, international transfer fees, or currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.

 


 

4. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

4.1 All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

4.2 Cancellation fees apply as follows (calculated from the programme start date):

  • 60 days or more: loss of deposit

  • 30–59 days: 75% of total programme cost including the 6.5% deposit

  • Less than 14 days: 100% of total programme cost including the 6.5% deposit

4.3 No refunds are provided for:

  • Missed training days

  • Early departure

  • Injury, illness, fatigue, or personal circumstances

  • Injury, illness, fatigue, or personal circumstances once the camp, course, programme has commenced

  • Weather, snow conditions, or mountain closures

4.4 We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance. This recommendation applies to both domestic and international participants and is intended to cover medical treatment, emergency evacuation, cancellation, and other unforeseen expenses arising from participation.

 


 

5. PROGRAMME CHANGES

5.1 Programme schedules, locations, trainers/coaches, and content may change due to weather, snow conditions, safety considerations, lift operations, or other circumstances beyond our control.

5.2 If training is stopped or modified for safety reasons, this will not constitute grounds for a refund.

5.3 Completion of three (3) hours of training in a day constitutes a full training day.

 


 

6. MINIMUM ABILITY LEVELS

6.1 Each programme has minimum ability and fitness requirements.

6.2 If a participant does not meet the minimum standard, we may:

  • Modify the programme, or

  • Require alternative training arrangements at the participant’s cost
    6.3 No refunds are provided where ability levels are misrepresented.

 


 

7. BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT

7.1 Participants must comply with all safety instructions, resort rules, and applicable laws.

7.2 We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour:

  • Poses a risk to themselves or others

  • Disrupts the programme

  • Breaches resort or local regulations
    7.3 Removal from a programme does not entitle the participant to any refund.

 


 

8. INSURANCE

8.1 We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel, medical, and personal liability insurance appropriate to their activities and location.

8.2 Participants are responsible for any costs or losses arising from participation that would ordinarily be covered by such insurance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rookie Academy is not responsible for losses resulting from a participant’s failure to obtain or maintain adequate insurance coverage.

 


 

9. FORCE MAJEURE

9.1 We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

  • Resort closures

  • Public health emergencies

 


 

10. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

10.1 We may capture photographs or video during programmes for promotional purposes.

10.2 You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such media unless you notify us in writing prior to the programme.

 


 

11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.

 


 

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
